FABRIX — Fabric & Textile Sealant (Water-Based Protection)

FABRIX is D-TAIL LAB’s water-based surface sealant engineered to protect and simplify maintenance of fabrics, textiles, canvas, and convertible tops. It helps repel liquids and contaminants so interiors stay cleaner, longer.

What FABRIX Does

Creates a breathable, water-repellent barrier that helps resist spills, stains, and grime on seats, carpets, mats, soft-tops, and outdoor fabrics—without leaving a stiff or greasy feel.

Why You Need FABRIX

  • Water-based protection — easy to use, low odor, and fabric-friendly.
  • Helps repel coffee, mud, road splash, and everyday spills.
  • Preserves look & feel — protection without heavy residue.
  • Versatile — great for automotive, marine, RV, and outdoor textiles.
  • Maintenance made easy — cleans up faster after treatment.

Where to Use It

  • Cloth seats, carpets, floor mats, trunk liners
  • Convertible soft-tops and canvas
  • Fabric door cards, headliners (light application)
  • Outdoor fabrics (covers, bags, camping gear)

Directions (General)

  1. Prep: Thoroughly clean and dry the fabric before application.
  2. Apply: Mist a light, even coat onto the surface from ~15–20 cm (6–8”).
  3. Work in: Use a soft brush or microfiber to ensure even coverage.
  4. Dry: Allow to air-dry completely. For maximum repellency, apply a second light coat after the first has dried.
  5. Cure: Avoid getting the surface wet for 12–24 hours after the final coat.
Pro Tip: On high-exposure areas (driver seat bolsters, carpets, or convertible tops), apply two thin coats rather than one heavy coat for better, more uniform protection.

Compatibility & Care

  • Always test in a hidden spot first to confirm colorfastness and finish.
  • Avoid over-saturation on delicate headliners; use light passes.
  • Reapply as needed after deep cleaning or heavy use.
