PURGE RTU is D-TAIL LAB’s pre-mixed, pH-neutral iron remover with color-change technology that targets embedded iron and brake dust on paint, glass, plastics, and wheels—no dilution, no mixing, just spray and rinse.
What PURGE RTU Does
Dissolves ferrous contamination that routine washing can’t remove, helping prevent clear-coat deterioration and corrosion. The purple color shift shows when iron is breaking down so you know when to rinse.

Where to Use It
- Clear-coated paint and PPF (spot test first)
- Wheels (only when cool); avoid direct spray on calipers/brake components

Directions
- Work on a clean, cool surface out of direct sun. Shake well.
- Spray PURGE RTU generously onto the target area.
- Allow 2–5 minutes of dwell, or until the purple color change indicates activity.
- Rinse thoroughly with water/pressure washer.
- If needed, follow with physical decontamination using a clay towel, then apply your protection.
Pro Tip: Pre-wash (contactless foam) and contact wash first; using PURGE RTU on a freshly cleaned surface lets the chemistry focus on iron rather than road film.
Compatibility & Care
- Do not use on hot panels or in direct sun; never let the product dry on the surface.
- Always test in an inconspicuous area, especially on sensitive trims and matte finishes.
- After decon, rinse thoroughly and re-apply your preferred protection.
